Fascapple opened in 2020, mid-pandemic, when Calgary's only public glassblowing studio closed. We took the equipment, the lease, and the question of whether Western Canada needed another one. Three years later we're still answering that question — yes, evidently.
We're a family: Hayden (lead artist + Netflix's Blown Away Season 4), his brothers Will and Ian, and Lydia. Plus a rotating crew of glass assistants and a kiln that runs 24/7.
Most people who come to us have never held a blowpipe before. That's the point. You'll get sweaty, your arms will be sore, and you'll go home with a piece you made yourself that we'll anneal and finish for pickup in 7-10 business days.
